Our trip to the Mall of America

Our family decided to take a little adventure and take a train to Minneapolis.  Our main purpose of the trip was to visit the Mall of America, which none of my kids have ever been to and to visit the Minnesota Zoo!
I was very reluctant to take 4 kids on a train to basically sleep.  We boarded the train at 9: 45 P.M. and arrived in St. Paul at 7:30 A.M.!  Yes, call me crazy, but all in all they did very well.  The two older ones didn't sleep that well, nor did I but the two little ones slept like a rock!
The Minnesota zoo was awesome!  The bears were the best.  It was neat to go on the tram throughout the zoo and see different animals.
Now, the Mall of America...we could of spent a whole another day there!  The kids absolutely loved it.  I can't believe how much there is to do in one place!  We went to the Underwater Adventures, had a tour of 'behind the scenes' of the aquatic animals and how they were fed and kept, #1 son did a hour of flight simulation, and we let the girls get a 'build a bear' and of course the rides at Nickelodeon Universe...awesome!  One thing I learned about kids and the rides, they have no fear!  I came to a conclusion, the older a person gets, the more fearful you get.  As kids are riding the rides, I don't think they think  about bolts and chains breaking or what if the rides comes right off the track, they just have fun!  I had to ride many of the rides so #3 would have a an adult chaperon with her.  I was a complete chicken on most of the rides and actually on one of the rides I had to hide my face into #3.
The best part of the trip was to see how much fun the kids were having.  They all had thanked us so many times for everything we did!  I actually wished we would of took one more day to see some of the museums in Minneapolis.  Maybe next time!  I'm glad we did our little adventure and now the kids have more fun memories!!
